Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The Honda Accord 2019 lineup starts with a 192-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four being the base while an impressive 252-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four is our favorite. It sits atop the engine pyramid and can come with either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic that shifts seamlessly. Though both engines are smooth operators, the 2.0-liter offers more power that can make the front tires spin easily, even in first gear. A hybrid is also available which is powered by a small four-cylinder and two electric motors.

Now let’s talk about Accord’s chassis. The 2019 Honda Accord chassis is well sorted and encourages the driver to push the car hard through corners, with a minimal amount of body roll. The steering is light, just fine for a car in this class but a little more feedback from the road wouldn’t hurt. We can say that a ride with Honda Accord is firmly controlled but never too harsh.

Fuel Savings and MPG

Accord’s new version has nixed the previous version’s V-6 and naturally aspirated four-cylinder engines in favor of a pair of downsized turbo fours. And the results? Generally positive. Each of the engines yielded strong results in real-world highway fuel-economy testing. See them below:

Interior and Infotainment

For a growing family, 2019 Honda Accord wouldn’t disappoint, as it’s interior is surprisingly spacious. Moreover, we know that every Accord has handsome interior furnishings, which are aimed for all passengers comfort.

All Honda Accord models come standard with touchscreen infotainment on either a 7.0- or 8.0-inch display. Bluetooth and USB connectivity are also available on all models, though Apple Carplay and Android are only available with the 8.0-inch touchscreen. The system is quick, attractive, and easy to use, even for those people who aren’t as tech savvy.
