2020 Audi A3: What We Liked in this Sedan

The 2020 Audi A3 luxury sedan is now in its most refined and feature rich edition with its signature design, turbo engines, innovative safety and driver assistance features that you can add, advanced technology that gives you some awesome connectivity and infotainment, availability of the Quattro AWD system for some elevated performance, acceleration and stability.  The Audi A3 comes in two distinctively configured trims – the A3 Premium which features anFWD drivetrain and the A3 Premium Plus which features the Quattro AWD system and style upgrades as well. We visited San Luis Obispo Audi to study what sets this luxury offering apart. We share below details of the 2020 Audi A3 and what we liked in this sedan.

Sophisticated Looks on the Exterior

The signature design on the outside of the 2020 Audi A3 gives a sophisticated look. What we like here is that this has allowed Audi to retain some minimalism on the exterior other than the aggressive single frame grille with a sport line front fascia and sport line side sills for some aerodynamic assistance. Headlights on the Premium areXenon plus with LED daytime running lights, while on the A3 Premium Plus you get the Full LED treatment with all-weather lights. You have LED taillights on both the variants, but the Premium gets dynamic indicators on the rear. The A3 has an integrated anti-theft alarm system with motion sensors fitted around the vehicle for extra safety which is another feature we like.

Luxurious Interiors to Pamper You

Interiors of the Audi A3 are all about luxury and comfort to pamper you to no limits with leather seating surfaces, heated front seats, a folding center armrest for the front and a panoramic sunroof which the rear passengers will specially enjoy. The driver and front passenger seats are 8-way power adjustable as well. You have dual-zone automatic climate control with an activated carbon-air filter that keeps pollution out and Ambient Interior LED Lighting that sets the mood for some good conversation as you drive. What we really liked on the A3 is the use of Aluminum door sill inlays with the S-Badging and illumination which adds purposeful refinement.

State-of-art Infotainment

While you already have a state-of-art, color driver information system, you have an option to upgrade to the 12-inch Audi Digital Virtual Cockpit with maps and available MMI Navigation. This puts the power of Google Earth in your hands. On the infotainment side, you have a 7.0-inch MMI center display which uses the power of multimedia which allows you to even scribble out commands to the system and even navigate maps by moving your finder on the touchpad if you add the available MMI Touch dial system. Our Audi dealer near San Luis Obispo demonstrated the 10-speaker Audi Sound System which we liked, but the 705 Watts Bang &Olufsen Sound System on the Premium Plus left us enamored.

Revered Powertrain

The 2020 Audi A3 is fitted with a revered powertrain consisting of a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that’s mated to a 7-speed automatic with dual-clutch that can take you 0-60 in 6.6 seconds but if you desire more, you have the Premium Plus that get the S-Line Quattro 45 TFSI engine that can take you just 5.4 for the same.
